To achieve applicator approval, Crystal Extrusion Systems submitted production pieces to Sherwin-Williams, where successful testing validated that the submitted pieces were properly pre-treated and the coatings applied and cured to specifications. Crystal Extrusion Systems’ credential as a Sherwin-Williams approved applicator allows the company to offer customers a very rapid turnaround time on quotes and delivery of special custom color orders, and provides greater operational flexibility.
"We´re very proud to be approved by Sherwin-Williams for its superior powder coat paints," said Tom Ziegler, Vice President for Crystal Extrusion Systems. Powder coat finishing is more environmentally benign compared with other aluminum finishing options such as liquid paint or anodization. "We reclaim oversprayed powder, the process eliminates VOC emissions and generally requires less energy, and it produces a long-lasting strong finish." Crystal is also an approved applicator of several other major manufacturer powder coat paint products.
